GET TO KNOW ME
Welcome! I’m Alyssa Martin, a yoga teacher and birth doula with a deep passion for supporting individuals through movement and mindfulness.
Yoga creates space to come back to your body.
Through breath, we learn where to soften and where to engage — where to release what we’re holding, and where to build support. It’s a practice of paying attention. Of feeling what’s actually there. My teaching is rooted in alignment, precise cueing, and deep awareness of the body. Shaped not only by years of practice, but by my work as a birth doula, where presence, breath, and trust in the body are everything.
I offer prenatal and postpartum yoga, vinyasa classes, and birth education designed to help you feel more at home in your body. Whether you’re preparing for birth or simply looking to reconnect with yourself.
As a 500-hour E-RYT and RPYT, I teach across all levels, offering thoughtful modifications and support along the way. My background in birth work informs how I guide with an emphasis on nervous system awareness, breath, and trusting the body’s innate intelligence.
You can practice with me online, in group classes, or through workshops and prenatal/birth prep offerings around the city.
Outside of the studio, I’m likely cuddling with my cat, exploring new corners of the world, or continuing to build spaces that bring people back to themselves.
“I wanted to give my sincerest appreciation for your dedication to yoga, creating a loving and open community to practice, and always allowing us to feel and be exactly how we are.”
